Refund policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

General information only, not advice. ClearDA kits and the screener give general information drawn from official sources. They are not legal, planning, building, engineering or financial advice, and they are not a council's or building certifier's decision. Rules change, and council requirements, planning scheme overlays (such as flood, bushfire or heritage overlays) and site conditions vary from property to property. Each kit shows the date its sources were last checked, and doesn't cover changes after that date. Before you act, always confirm with your local council, a building certifier or another QBCC-licensed or suitably qualified professional, and use a licensed tradesperson where the law requires one.

1. Who we are

Business details are in our Terms. Contact: info@clearda.com.au.

2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our kits come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For example, a kit must match its description, be of acceptable quality and be fit for any purpose we tell you it's for, and we must take due care and skill. If there's a major problem, you can choose a refund (or a replacement kit). If the problem isn't major, we'll fix it or provide a corrected kit within a reasonable time. If we don't, you can ask for a refund. You may also be entitled to compensation for any other loss or damage that was reasonably foreseeable. These rights aren't limited to 30 days. A "no refunds" policy can't take these rights away, and nothing on this page limits them. More information: accc.gov.au/consumers.

3. Our 30-day refund promise (on top of your rights)

  • If a kit didn't help you, for any reason: email us within 30 days of buying it, with your receipt or the email address you used at checkout. We'll refund the full price to your original payment method. You don't need to give a reason, although a few words help us improve.
  • If you bought the same kit twice by mistake: we'll refund the extra purchase.
  • If your download link didn't work: tell us and we'll send you the kit, or refund you if you prefer.
  • Bundle: the same 30-day refund applies to the whole bundle, even if you've already downloaded it.
  • After 30 days, this voluntary promise ends, but your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 2) don't. They have no fixed time limit.

4. The free screener

The screener and on-screen summary are free, so there's nothing to refund. If you spot an error in a summary, please tell us at info@clearda.com.au so we can fix it.

5. How to ask for a refund

Email info@clearda.com.au with your receipt or the email address you used at checkout. We aim to reply within 2 business days. Refunds go back to your original payment method and can take several business days to appear, depending on your bank. After a refund, please delete the kit.

If you'd rather talk, put your phone number and a good time in your email and we'll call you back at a time that suits.
